Natural Science Collections Alliance (NSC) (19 April, 2004)
The Natural Science Collections Alliance is a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit association that supports natural science collections, their human resources, the institutions that house them, and their research activities for the benefit of science and society. Members are part of an international community of museums, botanical gardens, herbaria, universities and other institutions that house natural science collections and utilize them in research, exhibitions, academic and informal science education, and outreach activities.

The NSC Alliance Annual Meeting is a forum for members throughout the natural history community in North America to discuss issues, share best practices, and learn from each other. Through effective representation, the Alliance addresses membersí ongoing needs for improved government funding, solutions to regulatory issues that impact collections and management, and issues or policies that affect natural history institutions worldwide.
