Texas State Marine Education Center
Four institutions conduct classes at the Center: * Palacios Independent School District * Texas State Technical College * Wharton County Junior College * Texas A&M Sea Grant The center has two classroom buildings, a Diesel Mechanics and Aquatic Science Building, and several Laboratory Buildings. There is an extensive Nature Trail that covers 25 acres of adjacent shoreline and wetlands.
