Dr. Hamann's research group explores the NMR structure, synthesis, pharmacology, ecological roles and pharmaceutical utility of marine natural products. Dr Hamann's group also explores the role of bacterial symbiosis on the production of clinically significant natural products.

Current Research:
-Mitigation of Crude Spilt Oil by titanium dioxide (TiO2) mediated photo-oxidation


Education:
Ph. D. in Marine Natural Products Chemistry under the direction of the Late Professor Emeritus Paul J. Scheuer at the Department of Chemistry of the University of Hawaii, Manoa, 1992

B.S. in Chemistry and Biology from Bemidji State University in Bemidji, Minnesota, 1985
