Mr. Vera is a principal investigator with the El Colegio de Tamaulipas, with focus on geography and regional urban studies. He is a representative of the Tamaulipas academia with the Council for Sustainable Development (CCDS) of Northeastern Mexico, under the United Nations Program for Development (PNUD) and the Secretariat for the Environment and Natural Resources (SEMARNAT).
