Triángulo Este-Sur Complex
The Triángulos Este-Sur complex forms part of the Campeche Bank Reefs, located in the Southeastern Gulf of Mexico. Triángulos is composed of two platform-like reefs, Este and Sur. Este is approximately 187 km from the mainland located at 20.92°N and 92.21°W. It is 2.37 km in length and 0.5 km in width, with its longest axis running in a NE-SW direction. In the Southeastern end, Sur is present in the form of a small cay. It is located 189 km from the mainland at 20.90°N and 92.23°W. It is 2 km in length and 1 km in width, with its longest axis running in a NE-SW direction. Note: The coordinates listed below are an approximation of the geographical center of the complex. Width and length figures include the Este and Sur cays.
