The University of Mississippi one of America's great public universities with its main campus in Oxford and other campuses in Jackson, Tupelo, and Southaven. The University of Mississippi is the oldest public institution of higher learning in the state. Its fundamental purpose is the creation and dissemination of knowledge. The University exists to enhance the educational, economic, healthcare, social and cultural foundations of the state, region and nation.
The University of Mississippi is home to a School of Applied Sciences, School of Business Administration, College of Liberal Arts, School of Education, School of Engineering, School of Accountancy, School of Law, School of Pharmacy and a Medical Center. It also hosts several research institutes and centers.
