Dr. Ko is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Marine Sciences, Texas A&M University at Galveston. Prior to taking this position he was a Post-Doctoral Researcher at Louisiana State University. His research interests include ecological economics (biophysical analysis of human economies), valuation of nature's service to human economy, interconnection of environment and energy, resource and waste management, industrial ecology, environmental and energy policy, and sustainable development. He has a number of publications on these subjects.
