Ms. Spear is an Ecologist with USGS where she works on issues related to coastal, wetland, and barrier island change and ecosystems; avian and wildlife ecology; status and trends; tribal climate change adaptation planning; and science communication and outreach. Kate actively works with the Gulf of Mexico Alliance Ecosystems Integration and Assessment Priority Issue Team and the Coastal Wetlands Planning, Protection and Restoration Act Public Outreach Committee.
