Rhonda Cummins has been Calhoun County’s Coastal & Marine Resource Agent since March 2008. Her many activities include a low power radio station at Magnolia Beach, kayaking trails, building small boats with middle school students, living shoreline work with smooth cord grass, a successful series of cooking demonstrations to promote local seafood, hurricane recovery and storm damage assessment. A former Texas public school mathematics teacher, she holds a US Coast Guard 200 Ton Master’s License and enjoys sailing on Lavaca Bay. She received a master’s degree in Marine Resources Management from Texas A&M University in May 2008.
