America's Wetland

America's WETLAND is one of the largest and most productive expanses of coastal wetlands in North America. This valuable landscape extending along Louisiana's coast is disappearing at a rate of 35 square miles per year.

Home to 40% of the nations wetlands, and alarming 80% of all coastal wetland loss in the continental United States occurs in Louisiana.

In the largest public awareness initiative in its history, Louisiana is leading America's WETLAND: Campaign to Save Coastal Louisiana. The campaign will raise awareness of the impact of Louisiana's wetland loss and increase support for efforts to conserve and save coastal Louisiana.
