Research Activities:

  • Coastal Resources - A major focus for the Coastal Resources Program has been to develop methods for determining the freshwater requirements of estuaries.
  • Benthic Ecology - The MML Benthic Ecology Program has focused on the development and implementation of environmental impact studies (EIS) and providing invertebrate taxonomy services for marine, estuarine and freshwater invertebrates.
  • Chemical Ecology - The Environmental Chemistry Program continues to be involved in a wide range of analytical and interpretive projects which include both routine monitoring and innovative research techniques to assess water quality and sediment contamination.
