Departamento de Recursos del Mar

The Departamento de Recursos del Mar is one of the three departments of CINVESTAV Merida Unit. Its goals are to do research in fishery resources, aquaculture and marine ecology. Twenty two years after it was created, it now has 14 areas of research, 17 laboratories and 1,132 square meters of external infrastructure for experiments. This infrastructure allows its staff to carry out research and students to develop their thesis work. The academic staff is composed of 20 researchers: 16 with a Ph.D. and 4 with a masters degree.
