Previously known as the Center for Marine Conservation, the Ocean Conservancy has the mission of protecting ocean ecosystems and conserving the global abundance and diversity of marine wildlife. Through science-based advocacy, research and public education, the Ocean Conservancy informs, inspires and empowers people to speak and act for the oceans. In all its work, the Conservancy strives to be the world's foremost advocate for the oceans.
