David is currently the Research Information Services Subsection Lead for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

Prior to Mr. Reeds current position, he worked as a Faculty member at the University of South Florida. He wass the Geospatial Assessment of Marine Ecosystems (GAME) Project Coordinator at the Florida Institute of Oceanography. David’s duties included the compilation and coordination of data gathering efforts of an initiative to define marine and coastal ecoregions in Florida as well as the management and initial data analysis of the compiled data. The objective of this project was to develop an inventory of coastal and marine habitat-related data within the Gulf of Mexico that will serve as a foundation to develop a spatial framework for ecosystem-based management and coastal and marine spatial planning. He is an active member of the Ecosystem Integration and Assessment Priority Issue Team within the Gulf of Mexico Alliance.
