Mr. Burn is the Coordinator for the Aleutian and Bering Sea Islands Landscape Conservation Cooperative based out of Anchorage, Alaska, USA. It is part of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. He has held this position since 2011.

In 1989, he co-authored a paper on the abundance of bottlenose dolphins in the Gulf of Mexico.
