My main research interests are focused on the reefs of the Veracruz Reef System in the Southern Gulf of Mexico, and deal with:
-Coral reef ecology: reef health surveys; environmental impact assessment; coral community structure.
-Environmental geochemistry: heavy metal pollution.
-Paleoceanography: environmental history reconstruction.
