Dr. Norenburg is a Research Zoologist and the Curator of Worms with the National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution. His research specialties include morphological and molecular phylogeny, phylogeography, biogeography and functional anatomy of nemertean worms, and biology and zoogeography of soft-bodied marine interstitial fauna. Current projects include egg-predator nemerteans symbiotic with decapod crustaceans, interstitial nemerteans, inventory of Gulf of Mexico and South Florida nemerteans.
