Dr. Jorge I. Euán-Avila is a Researcher and Associated Professor in the Department of Marine Resources at CINVESTAV IPN in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. Dr. Euán-Avila is a Member of the National Research System at level 1. His major research interests involve studies of the spatial dynamics of coastal ecosystems relative to changes caused by natural phenomena and human activities. His approach includes ecological, economic, legal and cultural aspects. His research tools include remote sensing, surface modeling, watershed analysis, geospatial analysis and vulnerability analysis.
