Dr. Lisa Kirkendale is a Research Fellow at the University of Wollongong in Australia. She is currently using molecular data to address questions in marine systems. With this research she is able to molecularly identify an Australian green macroalgae in the genus Ulva. Prior to this research, she assessed the status of genetic knowledge concerning commercial oyster resources in Australia.
