Peter Etnoyer is a Marine Biologist at NOAA's Coastal Center for Environmental Health and Biomolecular Research (CCEHBR) in Charleston, SC and a Research Fellow at the Schmidt Research Vessel Institute. His field research began in the Philippine Sulu Sea and has since taken him to the Caribbean, North Pacific, and Gulf of Mexico using manned submersibles and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs). Peter's areas of expertise include octocoral systematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and video production.

His current research interests include:
