Environmental chemistry of metals, pesticides, industrial organics, and petroleum hydrocarbons in soils and sediment-water systems, environmental analytical chemistry, wetland soil-plant interactions, wetland soil processes, biogeochemistry of nitrogen, sulfur, and phosphorous in wetlands, enhancement and restoration of wetlands with industrial byproducts, reservoir water and tailwater chemistry.
