Bioacoustic Survey of Charlotte Harbor

Acoustic data recording instruments are being periodically deployed in various parts of Charlotte Harbor (vicinity of Ft Myers, Florida). Sounds produced by various species of fishes, marine mammals and crustaceans are identified and cataloged. The frequency of occurrence of the sounds will be correlated with location, time of day, season, tidal flows and major changes in water quality, e.g., hypoxia.
