The Christmas Bay Coastal Preserve is a shallow embayment in the southwestern portion of the Galveston Bay system. The Christmas Bay habitat restoration project's objectives are to plant chordgrass in the bay and place a geotextile tube along the shoreline to protect seagrass beds from contaminants and turbidity.
