  • The pigmentation pattern and body shape of the specimen figured by Ortiz (1983) from NW Cuba appears to differ from that of the typical Hexapleomera robusta,, which is an epibiont on the sea turtle Caretta caretta, a species which is common in the Gulf of Mexico, southeastern US coast, and the Caribbean Sea.
