  • Cooper (1954) states that no definite locality in the Gulf of Mexico was recorded by Dall (1882).
    |Of the several records from the Caribbean listed by Cooper (1977) for this species, the closest collection site to the Gulf of Mexico is northeast of La Isabela, Cuba. Uncertainty regarding the genus designation was stated by Cooper (1977) due to these specimens’ divergent shape from other species of Tichosina. The overall depth range from the Caribbean sites is provided.
