Tubiluchus corallicola

A single species, Tubiluchus corallicola, was reported from the 2000 Southwestern Florida Gulf Survey at relatively high density (48 specimens; 1200 individuals/m–2) in a single grab at 9.3 m depth from one station off the southwestern coast of Florida (National Benthic Inventory, http://www.nbi.noaa.gov). Tubiluchus corallicola Land (1968) has been reported from waters surrounding the Gulf of Mexico, including the east coast of Florida, Barbados, Curaçao, and Bermuda, in 0.5–20 m depths in coral and coarse sand (Land 1968, Kirsteuer and Land 1970).
