Dr. Ardisson joined the Departamento de Recursos del Mar (Marine Resource Department) in 1993. His specialty is benthic invertebrate ecology and the study of coastal oceanographic processes. He is undertaking research on mechanisims and processes that control habitat selection of benthic invertebrates:
(i) Influence of spatial heterogenic scales on abundance and distribution of species.
(ii) Influence of the hydrodinamics at different spatial and temporal scales, on the behavior of benthic species in habitat selection.
(iii) Relative importance of space and food on benthic productivitiy, through survival of larvae and juveniles.
